Art Body Project
Art Body Project is a New York based photographic study of the male body through self-portraits by Atelier Thom, made in a framework of pride, tolerance and honor. The body is the subject. Not a sex picture. These sensual figure studies, made in Manhattan and the Hudson Valley, explore age, weight, and presence, and they stand against body shaming: the older body is not a lesser one, and every male body is worth seeing as art. His self-portraits hang here alongside openly licensed works by other photographers of the male figure. The foot and body as art.
Both soles lifted to the lens from a red chair, toes spread, with a bright window grid behind. Shot low and close so the feet fill the frame.
